The grade 6’s have been practicing graduation for a while now. We have been working on Past, Present Future, our song and dance and some other things.

We are all in groups and each group was assigned to a roll. For example my group chose the roll of making invitations. At first we had to write down all the names of the staff, now we have to make the right amount of invitations for all the staff members.

We are all very much enjoying graduation and hope it’s a grand success

Anna doesn’t believe that her parents still love her and are on a journey to look for her. She believes they broke the declaration and should spend the rest of their lives in prison. Then Peter came along.

Peter was a very confident. He attempted to persuade Anna that none of that none of this  is her parents fault; but Anna didn’t believe him. Anna believes that her parents are the reason she is a surplus. She lives in Grange Hall. When Peter arrived at Grange Hall all he tried to do was to convince Anna that she had to escape this prison like hall. Anna refused and Peter is now on her bad side.

A brutal fight occurred whilst Anna was letting the other surpluses know that they had to know their place. Tania and Charlotte were sent into solitary for the rest of the day and the night. Tania and Charlotte came out the next day just in time for morning training. Peter was also in solitary but didn’t come out with them, in fact he still hasn’t come out. All the surpluses in Mrs Dawson’s class had to practice their walk. Anna passed but unfortunately Harry wasn’t so lucky and as punishment he misses supper for the night. If he doesn’t lift his game by tomorrow Harry will miss out on all meals and will have to practice the next day until it is done properly.

Chapter 12:

Every night Anna went down to solitary in the middle of the night to visit and talk to Peter. He had told her that there was a door that leads the way out of Grange Hall. It was hidden in solitary, but Peter found it.

Anna first went there to warn Peter that Mrs Pincent wanted to get rid of him. Anna has a secret diary hidden in Female Bathroom 2. She hid her diary in between the gap between the wall and bath.

Sheila woke up one morning to follow Anna and find out her secrets. She slowly crept towards Female Bathroom 2, and thoroughly searched for Anna’s secret diary, she found the gap between the wall and bath tub and stuck her pale thin arm down the gap to find Anna’s most hidden secret.

Sheila had no time to read all of Anna’s diary and had a few minutes to get back to her dormitory if she were to make it back in time for morning bell. Sheila darted through the hall and made it in time before morning bell.

The book I am reading is entitled “Once”.

Once is a very heartfelt and imaginative story that will touch the readers heart. There is a series of this book, they are ordered like so, Once, Then, Now, and After.

The book Once is about a boy named Felix who finds himself carrying on a journey to find his parents. Obviously as he goes on he ages and becomes more mature towards life. On his journey he finds a young girl, Zelda.

She is a six year old who is shy at first but then as she gets to know Felix she becomes more outgoing and responsible. After years you would find that they are like brother and sister.

Felix’s personality is strong, imaginative and caring. When he finds Zelda he finds that her parents are dead and that he now has the responsibility of a young child’s life. He must protect her from danger but also teach her to protect herself. Zelda is a girl who has great fear of Nazi’s. Nazi’s are men and sometimes women who hate Jewish people and go around making them slaves and torturing them until they have no point to live.

The only way I think I could make a connection to this book is that Felix the main character is a boy with great interest in writing stories as am I.

My predictions will be pretty easy because I have read this book before.

My predictions are that Zelda and Felix will meet other children that Felix would also have responsibility of because he is the oldest. They are all close friends who risk their lives for each other.

Today the girls soccer team played a very athletic game of soccer against Coburg North. The scores were 8-0 in our favour. Some of the highlights were Rana’s defending, Ampe’s great goal and Sibt and Chlg’s always being open.

Today the girls softball team played a very simple but aggressive game against St Fidelis. The scores were 10-6 in our favour. Some of the highlights were Isac’s never giving up after losing confidence and Saas’ backstop. I’d like to thank Mr F for coaching us.

In reading groups I’m reading After. It’s by Morris Gleitzman . So far what I’m up to is very entertaining. Felix is now kind of a partisan which is a group of people who hate Nazis. Gabriek who is like a foster parentnfor Felix has just had an operation by Dr Zajak. Gabriek has woken up and is feeling better but is struggling to breathe.

Today we had Grandparents Day. Grandparents Day is a day when children bring their grandparents. It’s optional meaning some people didn’t bring anyone. Grandparents Day is also a day to bring someone special if you didn’t have a grandparent. Today the grades 5’s were working with their 1 / 2 buddies on a poem. We had to make poems about an animal and our grandparents. My 2 buddies were Sabrine and Malak. Once we finished our two poems we had to decorate it. It was a bit hard working with Malak because she was shy and didn’t want to talk.

I boughta new banana suit
and banana shoes.
I stickered up my body with
banana shaped tattoos.

I also bought banana socks,
a big banana hat,
banana scarf and jewellery,
banana this and that.

Around my face I wrapped
a yellow handkerchief/bandana,
then walked into the market
like an over-sized banana.

I filled the cart with everey last

and when I’d gotten all of them
I headed for the door.

tHE managers all stopped and stared.
They nearly flipped their lids.
But I just smiled and said to them
“I’m rescuing my kids”.
